Who doesn&#8217;t love sushi, pok\u00e9mon, or karaoke?<\/p>\n<p>My\u00a0personal favourite is the WordPress mascot: Wapuu. Here he is,\u00a0in his original form:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-693\" src=\"https:\/\/2016.sunshinecoast.wordcamp.org\/files\/2016\/04\/wapuu-original-273x300.png\" alt=\"wapuu-original\" width=\"227\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sunshinecoast.wordcamp.org\/2016\/files\/2016\/04\/wapuu-original-273x300.png 273w, https:\/\/sunshinecoast.wordcamp.org\/2016\/files\/2016\/04\/wapuu-original.png 338w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 227px) 100vw, 227px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But Wapuu didn&#8217;t stop there.\u00a0This\u00a0little critter travels to\u00a0WordCamps all over the globe, where he\u00a0represents of the\u00a0country or region. Pretty fun, right?!\u00a0His different costumes\u00a0are kept <a href=\"http:\/\/jawordpressorg.github.io\/wapuu\/\">on his website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, he&#8217;s looking forward to WordCamp\u00a0Sunshine Coast, where he&#8217;s donned some zinc, found a surfboard, and been fondly nicknamed <a href=\"https:\/\/2016.sunshinecoast.wordcamp.org\/2016\/02\/12\/meet-our-wapuu-wapoolaba\/\">Wapoolaba<\/a>\u00a0after our very own Mooloolaba Beach.<\/p>\n<p>Well, we&#8217;ve been looking forward to seeing Wapuu at WordCamp Sunshine Coast\u00a0so much, that we got a bit obsessive\u00a0and gave him an 8-bit make-over. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-680\" style=\"width: 300px !important;height: 300px !important\" src=\"https:\/\/2016.sunshinecoast.wordcamp.org\/files\/2016\/04\/wapuufinal.png\" alt=\"8-bit wapuu\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll see him floating around on stickers at the event &#8212;\u00a0a perfect addition to the back\u00a0of your laptop.
